roll with it

The countdown has begun.

It's for Brian's treatment plan we wish could have been cancelled, but at the end of the day, we are thankful to be moving forward in his healing journey.

In a way, it's a weird place to be. We never saw ourselves having to go through major treatment twice, and by outward appearances, my hubby looks super healthy. It's a combination of walking by faith toward this marked date on the calendar while living our best lives in the present, despite the undesirable future. It's a combination of being thankful for God's providence, for seeing Brian's chain of command support our family in this journey, for deciding to trust that all things will work together for good according to His purposes. Romans 8:28

Speaking of God's providence, we have been able to book two nice family get-away trips post treatment. Looking beyond this hill in front of us is so good and invigorating to the mind! On the other hand, I plan to be the best full-time caregiver my hubby needs and keep up with blog posts (and long-distance gardening! it's complicated but Lord-willing, doable!) throughout the treatment process. When life adjustments happen, sometimes it's better to just roll with it vs fight it. For now, that's how it is.
